An ex-leader from the largest cryptocurrency exchange in the world is optimistic about Bitcoin’s potential to surpass $100,000.
Changpeng Zhao, the former CEO of Binance, is confident that Bitcoin could exceed the $100k mark after its recent climb back to that level on Tuesday.
Is $100,000 Just the Beginning?
Bitcoin started off the new year on a positive note by bouncing back and reaching $100,000.
Zhao, also known as CZ, believes that the leading cryptocurrency has the potential to go even higher than $100k.
Regarding Bitcoin’s recovery, Zhao mentioned, “100k is boring, right?”
Following a period of struggling below $100,000, Bitcoin managed to reclaim its position above this key threshold, showcasing resilience before surging back.

Optimistic Outlook for Bitcoin
CZ expressed his belief that Bitcoin has the capability to reach new heights beyond $100k, welcoming the recent surge in the digital asset’s value.
His remarks created excitement within the cryptocurrency community, hinting at the possibility of Bitcoin’s price surge in the future.
According to Bitwise executive Matt Hougan, the bullish trend in the cryptocurrency market is expected to continue gaining momentum until 2025, with Bitcoin leading the charge and potentially reaching up to $200,000.
Hougan predicts that the inflows from Bitcoin ETFs could drive demand from corporate entities, leading to increased exposure to the flagship cryptocurrency.

Looking ahead to 2025, Zhao remains optimistic about the future of cryptocurrencies, suggesting that it will be a year full of excitement and growth for digital assets.

While Zhao refrained from providing a specific price prediction for the year, he hinted at the possibility of Bitcoin trading at $850,000 per coin in certain scenarios.
