The Alliance brings together a diverse set of infrastructure leaders across four continents, committed to strengthening the future of PoW by lowering barriers for new networks and catalyzing the next wave of Bitcoin-native innovation.

A New Coordination Layer For Pow
The Alliance brings together a first-of-its-kind mix of infrastructure leaders across Asia, North America, South America, and Europe โ including: Fractal Bitcoin, Psy Protocol, StandardHash, ElphaPex, F2Pool, Bitmars, Ipollo, SpiderPool, Fortitude Mining, Bit Exchange, and ETC Cooperative.
While diverse in geography and role, all members share a commitment to building real infrastructure โ and re-centering technical coordination within the PoW ecosystem. Together, the Alliance aims to lower the activation barrier for new PoW networks by offering cross-industry support on hardware, hashrate, mining pools and operational best practices.
Why Now
Despite PoWโs unmatched resilience, itโs often misunderstood or dismissed in todayโs ecosystem. New projects looking to build on PoW face a classic bootstrapping dilemma: without miner support, pool integration, and real economic backing, launching a secure chain is near-impossible.
The Alliance exists to solve this โ offering a structured and collaborative pathway for teams building on the most battle-tested consensus mechanism in crypto.

Shared Priorities For A Resilient Future
Initial areas of focus for the Alliance include:
Reviving awareness of PoWโs economic logic and security contributions
Advancing applied research into energy efficiency and novel mining algorithms
Exploring โventure miningโ as a strategy to bootstrap new chains
Supporting regulatory dialogue and cross-border coordination for PoW protocols
Alliance members are also exploring and open to research partnerships with institution and peers, building on prior work like the Cambridge Bitcoin Electricity Consumption Index, and exploring infrastructure alignment for future-proof PoW-native development.
What’s Ahed
The Alliance will convene regularly and plans to host its inaugural in-person gathering later this year, aligning on shared research outputs and strategic priorities. Over the next 12 months, it aims to grow to 15โ20 top-tier participants from across the PoW ecosystem.
